I am using Look magazine's '50 Best: Hot Holiday Essentials You Need Now' .. So here we go!
1) Topshop Black Stripe One Piece, £35
Me, myself, would not wear this swimsuit, only because the sides are cut out of it and I wouldn't be comfortable, BUT, I do love it. If you have a slim, trim, figure.. This is the swimsuit for you! The cut out sides will show off your slim silhouette and the black colour is even more slimming. I love the aztec pattern on the swimsuit, perfect for summer. I also love the fact that it is only black and white with a tiny splash of yellow, making all the attention on your figure. The yellow halterneck strap is very flattering and perfect for summer. Although, I wouldn't wear this swimsuit in the sun too long as you might come across a slightly odd tan. 2) Topshop Palm Print One Piece, £35
This is another one piece that I wouldn't wear myself because it is strapless, plus I don't think it will be suitable to wear whilst swimming as it could fall down, exposing yourself. But other than those few flaws, for me, I think it has a beautiful palm tree pattern on it, which is very suitable for the summer. The mixture of pink, purple, blue and orange is perfect, and again compliments summer great. All the colours go together well and none of them take attention away from the others. I like this swimsuit, but it's not for me. 3) Dorothy Perkins Black One Shoulder Swimsuit, £25
I do like this swimsuit, and could maybe see myself in it, but I am not sure I would be comfortable with the one shoulder. As the colour is plain, it won't catch people's attention much but those people that may want to feel and look slimmer, black is a great slimming colour. The ruffled design on the one shoulder makes the swimsuit more appealing, but.. as it is summer, a lot of people would rather go for something with a bit more colour on and more design; just like the 2 above. Although, at the cheaper price of £25, many people may choose this one. This swimsuit also seems to have a high leg on them, therefore this might make people feel uncomfortable in them. Not my favourite swimsuit, in my opinion.
4) Topshop Embellished Cover Up, £36
I really like this cover up, I would definitely buy this. The pink colour is very summery and eye catching therefore is perfect for going on holiday. The embellished top half on the cover up is gorgeous and makes the cover up even more appealing. This would be perfect for chucking into a bag to put on whilst out and about in the sun. This colour would certainly not make you feel hot, and it would suit anyone. Although, I do this it is a bit more expensive to pay for a cover up, but I would pay for it, I love this piece of clothing. A lot of people may not like the length of it, but you can easily cut off some of the material at the bottom and put a hem on it, do a bit of fashion DIY, or you could take it to a professional.
5) Cervela Jewelled Wedge, £75
I love these wedges. Plus, wedges are much easier to walk in than heels, therefore they would suit anybody. I love the blue colour of the wedges, it most definitely reminds me of a summer day, with blue skies. The cork style wedge is very summery and will go with almost anything! The jewelled front makes the wedge look even more appealing and will catch everyone's attention, they will sparkle in the sun as you walk and everyone will envy them. The sole of the wedge looks sturdy therefore easy to walk in, what else could you want?! The only down side to these pairs of wedges is the price tag, they are a bit expensive. 6) Reiss Snake Print Bandeau Bikini, £45
I swear I have a hatred for swim-wear, but who doesn't?! But.. again, I wouldn't wear this. But a lot of people would! I love this no matter whether I would wear it or not, the snake print is very interesting and animal prints are very in with the latest fashion trends. The yellow colour paired with the snake print is perfect and compliment each other perfectly. The bright yellow colour is great for the summer, as it will remind everyone of the warm sun and all the flowers. I love it. The one shoulder on the top half for the bikini is gorgeous and I love how it change for the bandeau to a thin strap over the shoulder. The tight bandeau will hold you perfectly, and you can swim at free will without worrying!
7) Warehouse Tile Print Shorts, £15
Love. Love. Love. As soon as I saw these, I fell in love. How summery?! The colour infusion of green, blue, yellow and white is perfect and reminds you of the sea in summertime. Gorgeous. You can pair these shorts with a simple vest or tee, and it would be perfect. Pair them with a pair of gorgeous summer wedges and a clutch, the outfit would be complete. I know for some people, these shorts may be a bit too much for them.. but.. LIVE OUTSIDE THE BOX! I love these. For £15, who wouldn't want to buy them?! What a bargin!!
8) Missguided Floral Bikini, £16.99
What is Look magazine doing to me?! Another swim-piece. Well, I wouldn't wear this, I wouldn't wear bikinis. I love the white background on the two-piece and I like the floral design, very suitable for the summer. I like how it is a tie back halterneck strap, therefore you can wear it with out without a strap. You could wear it without the strap for sunbathing so that you don't get awkward tan line and you can wear it with a strap to swim in so that you are secured and you know that nothing will 'fall out'. I absolutely adore the bow detail in the middle of the top part of the bikini, and it is very appealing and will catch everyone's attention.
9) Ted Baker Zebra Print One Shoulder Swimsuit, £45
I do like this swimsuit as I think it would be slimming as the loud pattern will take all attention from however small or big your waist is, plus, black colour is slimming and is a good colour. I like how not the whole swimsuit is not black therefore it is appealing and doesn't look too dull. The next thing I like is it is a suitable length, the legs are lower and the neck is a bit higher, this will hide all of your problem areas. I do like this swimsuit and can see myself in it, but I don't know if I would buy it for £45, it isn't that nice that I would spend £45 on it. It has quite a small shoulder strap which suggests that the neck line is quite high.
10) Reiss Stripe Shopper, £66
I absolutely adore this handbag. I just love it. It is the perfect beach bag, perfect. This shopper is perfect eye candy for the new summer season, wear it over your arm with a summer tee and classic shorts for strolls in the park; perfect summer look. The colours incorporate with the tribal fashion trends with the orange and the black. The aztec bottom of the bag is very in with the latest fashion trends and it a must have in your wardrobes. I love this bag, the woven look to it just gives it that competitive edge to all the other bags. For £66, it is expensive but hey, you would spend that much on a bag like that. I mean, look at it!
11) Miss Selfridge Freya Gold Paint Plait Sandals, £25
I do like these sandal, but I am not keen on the colour scheme. If they were different colours, I may have bought them but I am not very keen on the gold colour, it makes them look slightly cheap. I don't think they are quite worth £25, I wouldn't pay that much for them. The brown and blue colours are very fashionable colours at the moment, and I also love how they are suede. They should have added even more colour or they could have stuck with black. 12) Topshop Tie Dye Kaftan, £30
My first reaction to this piece, WOW. I love it. Love. Love. Love. This is the perfect piece of clothing to put over the top of swim-wear. The low v-neck will therefore show off your bikini or swimming costume, which ever you choose to wear, and this will complete the look. The colours of the kaftan are very summery and mix together well, it will reflect the sun and make you look cool and summery. The light-weight material will keep you cool in the summer heat and it will help your costume dry quickly. I think the length on the kaftan is perfect is you are scared about getting burned in the summer heat. Pair is with a pair of espadrille wedges and you'll be set to go!
13) Warehouse Coral Drop Earrings, £6
There isn't a lot to say about these earrings because they haven't got much to them, which in my opinion is a good thing. I think these are perfect for wearing day-to-day in the summer months as they aren't too dressy or too casual. They are simple drop earrings which will look nice with any outfit, you could even pair them with the kaftan above and a pair of orange/purple sandals. Wear them to the beach, wear them to the shops, wear them pool-side.. ANYWHERE. I love them.
14) Olivia Ruben For Dorothy Perkins Black Floral Swimsuit, £28
This swimsuit is more suited for me as it has a halterneck strap therefore will support all my problem areas and is suitable to wear in the pool. I also like the lower leg as I am conscious about my legs. Although I like the style and shape of this swimsuit, I think the pattern on it is for the older generation and not teens. It just looks more 'mumsy', but it is a beautiful swimsuit for adults, but I wouldn't recommend it for teenagers. As I said, I love the style of it, it is very fashionable and I like the belt around the waist, which will make you look instantly slimmer as it will define your waist. I like the colour scheme on this top as it is summery and girly.
15) Miss Selfridge Paisley Tie Front Maxi Dress, £39
This paisley dress is gorgeous for the summer, the pattern and the colours just reflects the summer months. The overall pink theme for the dress is very girly and will look absolutely gorgeous on anybody. I think the tie front makes the dress more appealing and will attract a lot of people's attention. If you didn't want to expose your stomach, like I wouldn't want to, you could alternatively put a vest/boob tube underneath it so that it wouldn't expose you. I think the flaw length dress is beautiful and will suit absolutely anybody. Pair it with a pair of wedges and a pair of sunglasses and this is your perfect summer look. On cooler summer day, wear with a cardigan to make it warmer to wear.
16) Mango Printed Dress, £24.99
Obviously, you wouldn't wear this dress as it is, it is more like a kaftan to wear over swim-wear or you could wear a top and some shorts. A printed blouse dress in a sheer fabric with v-neck and dolman sleeves, elastic waist and contrast hem. This would be the perfect dress to wear to the beach as it would keep you cool and would be perfect to help dry yourself off. The colours remind you of the beach, the blue for the sea and the contrasting hem as the beach. The elastic waist will define your figure and will make you look flawless. The fabric will be lovely to wear and it will flow perfectly. I think that this mango printed dress is more of a beach or poolside outfit, pair with a pair of sandals and a big summer hat, perfect.17) Mango Flower Print One Piece, £39.99
I absolutely love this swimsuit, I would definitely wear this swim-suit on my holidays. This is a flower printed one-piece with detail keyhole on the front and contrasting straps that ties at neck and back with high back and full back coverage, fully lined. My favourite part of this swim-suit is the contrasting strap that ties around the neck at in the middle of the back, it makes the swim-suit look so much different to other swim-suits in the shops. The flowery design is very summery and the navy background colour is very slimming. I think the open front is beautiful and will look gorgeous. The shape of the swim-suit is perfect as it is a suitable length on your legs, and the neck line is perfect. Overall a great costume.
18) Reiss Espadrilles, £34
These aren't your typical espadrille shoe as they use ribbon to dress them up. I love these Reiss blanket stitch espadrilles. Roberstons in super soft cream leather is a light and stylish summer show. The round toe cut out style features a pretty turquoise blanket stitch trim and laces around the ankle with a matching gorsgrain ribbon.
19) Miss Selfridge High Waist Bleached Shorts, £30
These are a high waist bleach wash short with distressed effects and ripped hem. I love them, you can pair them with a tee, vest or blouse to either dress them up or dress them down. The good thing about blue shorts is that you don't have to worry about what they go with. I love high waisted shorts too, very in fashion at the moment! The bleached look makes the look more summery and light, they look like they would be soft and comfortable to wear too. The ripped look just attracts my attention even more. Love. Love. Love.
20) Reiss Wide Brim Hat, £45
This is a Kenway woven hat in warm cappuccino straw, it has a wide-brimmed dramatic style with a skinny brown leather trim and a stylish twisted gold ring trio. I think this hat looks very vintage and very fashionable, I would love to have this placed on my head. I don't like the stiffness of the brim, I would rather it be flexible to move around.
21) Ted Baker Printed Swimsuit, £40
Similar to a previous swimsuit shown, the design on this is quite old; but it brings it back with the underwire on the swimsuit which makes it look more seducing, therefore will appeal to the teenage years. Even so, I wouldn't purchase this one piece because I think it will still appeal to the adult generation. But I love this swimsuit for an adult, it won't make them look too 'mumsy' and will make them look younger. This is not one of my favourite swimsuits, as it doesn't appeal to me or attract my attention therefore I would never pick it up in the store. I think the pattern on the one piece could have been so much more girly and interesting, instead they just put one large flower which doesn't do anything for the piece. Not worth £40 for me.
22) KG at Kurt Geiger Orange and Gold Sandals, £65
One word, love. The loud colours, the open foot.. everything that you want for hot summer days. The bright orange colour instantly makes you want to buy these outrageous shoes as they stand out. The gold on this sandal doesn't look cheap at all, it makes the sandal what it is. The zip up back adds even more detail to them, love them.
23) Warehouse Pansy Print Playsuit, £39
Adore. I absolutely love this playsuit. We haven't yet come across a playsuit in Look's 50 essentials yet, and I'm glad we have. Every girl needs a playsuit in their wardrobe for summer, they are free and easy. You don't have to worry about the wind getting under your skirt; the shorts just make playsuit comfortable to wear. I have several playsuit's in my wardrobe and this is one I would certainly like to add. The overall colour of blue is perfect for summer, reminding you of the clear skies and the sea. It is made from a lightweight fabric with is perfect for summer months. It features fine straps that tapper to a racer back shape at the back and a cut-out back keyhole detail with small button fastening. The fixed waist band and concealed zip give this piece a nipped in waist.
24) Ted Baker Circular Sunglasses, £53
I love sunglasses. If I could, I would have a full collection in my wardrobe. Love. Love. Love these sunglasses. The colour, the style, the brand; everything. Sunglasses are my favourite thing ever. I love the rounded shape of the glasses with the plastic frame. The brand name is on the arms. Love.
This has to
be the best swimsuit we've seen in the 50 essentials for Summer. It is well
shaped, with a supported top-half and a great leg length. The halterneck strap
is beautiful, and I can imagine it being flattering to wear. You could also
choose to wear the halterneck or not, this is handy if you catch a tan as you
can take away the straps to get a flawless tan. The middle of the swimsuit look
awfully skinny so I'm not too sure it that is how it is, or whether it is just
the picture. I like the vintage look with the polka-dots and the slightly
ruffled neck line, I love it. It is quite a safe option for bathing suits, but
oh well, you don't always have to go over the top.. after all, all you'll be
doing is either sunbathing or swimming in it!
Similar to a previous swimsuit shown, the design on this is quite old; but it brings it back with the underwire on the swimsuit which makes it look more seducing, therefore will appeal to the teenage years. 26) Warehouse Filgree Cuff, £16
I love this
bracelet, it will go with absolutely anything perfectly, I love the pattern on
it and the shape. Gorgeous. You could pair this with a dress, a plain tee,
shorts, skirts, vests, playsuits.. ANYTHING. It is an
easy accessory to have around so that you can glam up any outfit! It
will fit onto anyone's wrist, as I can imagine you being able to adjust the
shape of of. Big cuffs are really 'in' at the moment as they can make or break
outfits.
27)

This has to
be the best swimsuit we've seen in the 50 essentials for Summer. It is well
shaped, with a supported top-half and a great leg length. The halterneck strap
is beautiful, and I can imagine it being flattering to wear. You could also

doing is either sunbathing or swimming in it!
28)
Missguided Frill Bow Front Halter Neck Bikini, £16.99
At the price
of £16.99, it is a very good price for a bikini and I would pay that for this.
I am not one for bikini's therefore obviously wouldn't buy this, but if I did
buy bikini's, I would. I really like the frill bow on the front of the halter
neck top, it makes the top look much more interesting and engages people into
the piece. The draped frill at the front of the top piece is gorgeous and makes
the bikini look flawless and girly. The frill on the top brim of the knickers
compliments the bra very well, and the bikini on the whole is beautiful. I love
the halter-neck on the bikini, and as I've said on the other swim-wear pieces,
you can use the halter-neck well and get a good, flawless tan. Overall a lovely
bikini (but I wouldn't buy it myself).
29) Warehouse Ikat Maxi Dress, £42
The Dip Dye Ikat Print Maxi Dress has a floor length, sleeveless style with a flowing hem. Featuring contrasting colours, a loose fit with a low round neckline and two broad straps. I absolutely love this dress, I love the contrasting colours that blend together perfectly. To enhance your figure you could pair it with a belt or a jacket that finished at your waist line to emphasise it. You could also compliment the dress with a pair of sandals for a day time and then take the outfit to night time by pairing it with a pair of summery wedges. I love how none of the patterns are the same and that they all pair together so well, I love the round neckline too. The open space around your neck means that you could wear a chunky necklace to make the dress looks more dressed up.
30) Mango Ruffle Detail Bikini, £29.99
Come on! How many bikinis?! I don't wear bikinis, I'm sick of talking about them! Ah! Anyways.. I do like this bikini as I like the pattern on it, the ruffle brim on the bra piece is lovely and makes the bikini look more girly. The bottom half of the bikini look more like knickers than anything else, which is strange.. because of the bow on the side and the ruffled brim. I love bikinis with a halter-neck because you can get a good tan. I like the purple, blue and pink colour scheme. These colours go very well together and create a very summery and fashionable look. Overall I think this bikini is very light and summery but of course, I would not purchases this myself as I do not wear bikinis.
31) KG at Kurt Geiger Gold Sandals, £65

32) Mango Boucle Shorts, £34.99
I love these shorts, I love the texture of the shorts. These are very smart shorts, but you could easily wear them on the weekend with a t-shirt to dress them down. I love the pink colours of the shorts which makes them look summery and very girly. You don't see a lot of everyday people wearing these shorts out and about, but I think people should start wearing them. You could accessorise with a belt to make them look even better and pair them with blouse or a vest. Perfect.
33) Dorothy Perkins Pink Flamingo Shopper, £7
For £7, I think anyone would buy this bag, but this is a perfect summer bag. Not too posh, not too casual, not too expensive, and not too cheap. You wouldn't worry about getting sand or water in the bag as it wouldn't be a great loss as it's only £7 and I understand £7 is a lot for a lot of people, but still.. It's your perfect beach bag, sand and water is meant to go in! With the addition of flamingos on the bag makes it even more summery as when you are on holiday, you may visit animal parks etc. A shopper pink canvas shopper tote with fun flamingo print. Great value and key item for Summer. There are also matching canvas espadrille shoe. If you buy the matching espadrille and pair it with this bag, it would be the perfect outfit for summer.
34) Reiss Mint Bandeau Bikini, £49
For £49, this bikini must be nice. It isn't an overwhelmingly nice bikini, but it's nice. I do love the bandeau bra as it is tight against your body and you will not need to worry about anything being exposed. This will also give you and lovely, flawless tan as you will not need to worry about any unnecessary tan lines and you can wear anything without having to worry. The bikini is on-trend in mint with a glamorous bandeau style. Featuring a crossover, ruched strapless top with stylish rose gold back clasp and matching bottoms. I think bandeau bikinis are number 1, shortly followed by the halter-neck bikini, partially because of getting a good tan, but I also think they look lovely.

This will also suit any shape or size, perfect for everyone.
37) Dorothy Perkins Dalmation Sandals, £30
I like these sandals, but they are not my favourite sandals ever, but they are nice. I like how they have the contrasting front to the back of the sandal. The only down side to these sandals is that your foot might move around whilst walking as there isn't a lot of support throughout the sandal... but it seems to be fastened quick strongly therefore you wouldn't need to worry. I like these sandals, but don't love them.
38) Miss Selfridge Stripe 50s Bikini, £26

This cute little bikini would be a great addition for your summer wardrobe. The wired top means that it gives you support when in the water and walking around the pool side. The cute skirted bottom looks very 50s style, and it is very cute. I love it. The choice of having a halterneck or strapless is brilliant when catching a tan. This is a gorgeous bikini is perfect for the summer and the red, white and blue helps you think even more of the olden days. 39) Kurt Geiger London Espadrilles, £95
For £95, they must be amazing! Of course, they are Kurt Geiger which is awesome, love his shoe collections. The ballet strap that will tie around your ankle is gorgeous and just sets the girly and feminine tone to the espadrille.
